Two Cool Sites for Readers, Writers, and Bloggers

Hi Friends,

I wanted to share a couple of sites I have joined lately.

Bloggerdise: www.bloggerdise.com

Bloggerdise is a great site for authors to promote their books for free and a great place for bloggers to find free products (including books) for their blogs.

Authors: Even though the front page is a little business-stiff and their tag line is “Where business and blogs take flight, this is a great place to get free book cover exposure and possible contacts for book reviews. Click on the tab “Bloggers” which will take you to the ad page. The process is easy, just sign up (tell them Dorlana Vann sent ya) and then create an ad with your book cover and what you’re willing to offer a blogger (review copy, contest copies, etc.). Here is my book ad for Supernatural Fairy Tales anthology. BTW – I have been contacted twice requesting review copies.

Bloggers: I haven’t contacted any of the businesses yet, so I’m not sure about the process. However, there are tones of businesses who want to give away merchandise to your visitors. And who doesn’t like free stuff.

Bookbuzr & fReado: www.freado.com

I actually just found this site yesterday and signed up immediately. As a writer and a reader, I’m really excited about it!

Authors: We know that you have to get your book cover in front of people’s faces as much as possible. fReado.com does this in a fun way: Games! Readers play games like match the book cover and hangman to win points. Then they take these points and buy prizes. How cool is that! It is free for readers but there is a cost for authors. They have two plans. I signed up for Bookbuzzr author pro which cost 9.00 a month – with a one month free trail. So far—well I did just sign up yesterday—I have one book available as a prize, Silverweed. I plan on adding them all.

Readers: Play for free and win books and other prizes like Amazon gift cards.

If you click the link below and then sign up, you will get 1000 free points. When I signed up on my own, I received 200 points – so you’ll get a bit more, and I’ll get points, too!
